Comedy Night at the Tap Room

David Whitney & Stephen Grant are coming to Cellar Head for the return of Comedy Night!

About this experience

With two nationally recognised comedians, Village Idiot Comedy will present a brilliant evening here at Cellar Head HQ.

David Whitney was born in Aberdeen into an army family and grew up all over the world on various army camps. He went to a military college himself with a view to serving in the British Army but, just before going to Sandhurst, he chickened out and went to drama school instead. Years later he was working in Los Angeles when, due to a string of lies he had been trying to impress girls with, he found himself performing his first stand up comedy gig at the Friars Club in Beverly Hills. Since then he has not looked back and now plays some of the biggest clubs in the UK. David is also an accomplished bagpiper and, not someone who shies away from big performances, David by personal request played at Gwen Stefani’s wedding.

Stephen Grant is one of the UK’s funniest, hardest working and most respected comedians. Whether entertaining full-size theatres, voicing animations, warming up TV audiences, presenting radio shows or hosting corporate award nights Stephen never fails to pull in the laughs. Stephen is , the curator of the Forge Comedy Club, Britain’s most advanced comedy venue. A multi-award winning MC and the most experienced late show compere in the UK due to his 23 year residency at the Krater Comedy Club. He performs at clubs and corporate events all over the UK and on the international circuit and has taken six critically acclaimed shows to the Edinburgh Fringe since 2003.

Presented by Village Idiot Comedy, the tap room will be exclusively open to ticket holders only from 6.30pm with the show starting at 7.30pm. We will have a local food truck with us all day in Saturday so make sure you come down much earlier eat as we expect them to be very busy before the show.
